In the not so vast future:

Capitalist society is blooming. Success is key and everything can be bought. A small, recently up and running company are trying to fight for their spot in the sunlight. They're marketing themselves as deliverer of utopia. Their products are taking the form as public artworks, but with the idea that it should be usable. They have researched the need of the consumers. The city is busy and crowded. People are depressed, overworked. If you can look into the idea heaven there is one thought popping up more often than before: the urge to stop. Deeply rooted in humans this longing is difficult to completely erase, which would be the final and best, utopian, product. But they have solutions for the need: recent discoveries have shown that the placebo effect is real and the best way of get a maximum effect is by action.

Utopian is the company who puts the people into work. They design public artwork and all of them has a practical use that makes the citizen use their humble brains and bodies:

A crashmat with a print of a brick wall: for faking a suicide.

A ball pit with soft marble stones: for sinking through the ground

A coffin with a small park inside: for you to be alone in the buzzing crowd.

A cheering crowd that can be hired to be put anywhere: They cheer for nothing in particular, but it certainly brings up the mood.

A glass tube that moves soil: to see the soil change from one spot to the other.

An inner earth shifter: because the change is happening, even though we cannot see it.

All of the products are handling the dark urges we have but in a comforting supporting way.

(Due to economic reasons all their ideas are not made yet, but are shown through posters and explanatory
